ECF – european cultural foundation

European cultural foundation (ECF) offers different funding possibilities for individuals and cultural organisations.

Funding possibilities for individuals:
ECF Grants - Artistic projectsGrants for outstanding artistic projects which show vision in illuminating the issues of diversity in Europe (organisations may also apply).
STEP beyond
Mobility grants for artists, cultural operators, journalists, translators and researchers travelling within the wider Europe (including Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan).
The ECF co-funded Roberto Cimetta Fund  that stimulates creative mobility and promotes exchanges in the field of contemporary performing arts and visual arts in the Mediterranean area.
(Travel grants for artists in the Mediterranean region, covering travel and visa costs for professional cultural network meetings, workshops, artist residences, festivals, symposia, etc.)

ECF Grants - Artistic projects: "Making collaboration work"
Grants for outstanding artistic projects which show vision in illuminating the issues of diversity in Europe (individuals may also apply); grants which stimulate collaboration between cultural organisations. Applications from Balkan countries are strongly encouraged.
EPIM Grants
Grants aimed at strengthening the role played by NGOs active on migration and integration issues.
EPIM (European Programme for Integration and Migration) is a consortium of foundations, of which the ECF is a member.
*Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture
An extra funding line for Balkan projects was introduced in 2006 in collaboration with Hivos and OSI. This funding line is interwoven in both grant schemes. This means no seperate application process. The Fund's partners remain committed to working together to improve cultural collaboration and artistic excellence within and between Albania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.

*UPDATE:
From 1 July 2013, the Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture (BIFC) has become the Balkans Art and Culture Fund.

**UPDATE:
The European Cultural Foundation (ECF) has assumed the implementation and the direct management of the Balkan Arts and Culture Fund.
